Brianne Howey on Georgia’s Most Challenging Season in Ginny & Georgia
Brianne Howey shares her experience in playing Georgia in the hit Netflix series Ginny & Georgia and describes the shows third season as the most challenging yet. In knowing that her character was going to hit rock bottom with everything that happens to her throughout the season, the challenge was in finding what this would look like and how much it would potentially change Georgia.
At the beginning of the season we see Georgia following her dramatic arrest at the end of last season, and in typical style she knows how to play the game through choices such as showing up in her wedding dress in court to portray herself as the innocent bride who couldn’t possibly be guilty. However as the season progresses she’s forced to confront the fallout of her actions and how it affects her kids. Brianne found certain choices along the way showed her ability to recognize pieces of this even if she is still a work in progress. She felt Georgia tried to hold her own emotions back in certain moments with Ginny instead of making it all about herself as she would have done int he past.
Whilst she felt Georgia was ready to recognize certain things within herself, she noted that she’s not yet ready to hold a full mirror up to all of her actions, which will no doubt make for plenty to continue exploring in future seasons.
